0 It’s-a Me! A new-a episode!
A new episode has been posted in our Podcast section! You should TOTALLY check it out! Oh! And tell your friends. Yeah. That too.
On top of the episode itself, we have already posted the mic checks bonus track (which can be found on the new episode page) and we will also have another extra for you to check out this weekend (mayhaps another bonus round of the Leonard Maltin game)!

0 Episode 2 – Mic Checks!
Our episode taping was AWESOME! This is just getting better and better!
Now we’ve decided to use the bonus materials we generate as teasers for each week’s episode to wet your appetite for each Friday release.
Today’s bonus teaser is this week’s Mic Checks! I thought it’d be fun to find some random movie monologues, stick them in envelopes and hand them out just before the mic checks so there’d be enough time for Adam to hone in on the right mixer settings for everyone, while you get to listen to some hilarity.
0 The Qwikster & the Deadflix
After posting this article, I did a little searching and realized “The Atlantic” has already used this headline, but I don’t care ’cause it’s funny, damnnit!
Buenos Dias, Ya’ll!
Adam and I are gearing up to put another episode to bed tonight, with our guests, Gina Dolski and Emily Dyess.
We’re not going to go too nuts on the Netflix/Qwikster debacle, assuming you’re already kind of sick of that like we are, but there’ll be an honorable mention to keep you on the up and up.
To sweeten the deal a bit, we will play another round of the Leonard Maltin game as we work to craft an original game of our own.
Finally, to answer a question I have received over the weekend, we will not be posting our episodes in the iTunes Podcast library until we have at least 5 episodes in the bag. We hope that, by then, we have everything tacked down regarding our show (logos, intro/outro music, game, etc.). When that happens, we’ll make a big hubbub about it so you can subscribe.
Make sure to always keep an eye on our Twitter account to stay as up to date as possible on episodes and bonuses we release.
See you Friday!
0 BONUS TRACKS!
We’re going to make a valiant effort to always tape bonus tracks with every episode, and so far, we’re one-for-one! We’ve just uploaded the hilarious Mic Check and pre-show session, as well as a bonus Leonard Maltin game!
1 Episode 1 – 09/13/11 feat. Alex Johnson & Dave Wheeler
Guests Alex Johnson and Dave Wheeler join Dan and Adam in the inaugural episode to discuss which Streaming Media web sites they favor and news.
Taped at the Frank Oz Memorial Studio, Minneapolis, MN on Sept. 13, 2011. http://bufferingpodcast.com
0 OUR FIRST EPISODE!
Thank you for being oh so patient with us as Adam and I worked to get this thing off the ground. We had an awesome first episode with our guests, Dave Wheeler and Alex “AJ” Johnson, as we discussed Pandora’s struggle to remain unique as Spotify and Clear Channel Communications release their own ‘Create Your Own Station’ features, as well as the debacle between Netflix and Starz. We also had enough time to play the Leonard Maltin game (made famous on Doug Benson’s “Doug Loves Movies” podcast).
On top of the episode itself, we will also have some extras for you to check out this weekend (including the mic checks and a bonus round of the Leonard Maltin game)!
As promised, here are a few links to everything we discussed this week:

0 Welcome to the “Buffering …” Podcast Web site
0 Booking Guests
Holy buckets, folks!
We’ve subbed out Frank for this first episode, and we’re bringing in AJ as his successor.
But even before we have recorded our first episode (recording tonight, dropping Friday), we’ve already booked a guest for next week! This is really cool that our friends are so supportive to get this thing off the ground, and now we’re building an awesome talent pool from which to draw guests when we want to have the fun shows with experienced folks.
Here’s what to watch for:
Episode #1 (taping tonight!) – Dave Wheeler & Alex “AJ” Johnson
Episode #2 – Gina Dolski & TBD
If you’re in the Twin Cities area, a fan of all that is Internet Media, and a fantastic riffer and conversationalist, contact us at bufferingpodcast@gmail.com and maybe YOU COULD BE OUR NEXT GUEST!

0 Greetings, Future Listeners!
It’s official. The topic/genre/whatever you want to call it has been selected, the host positions have been cast, the mixer has been ordered, and the domain name has been registered. All that’s left is to create a Twitter feed that’ll lay pretty dormant until we get underway.
Adam and I are working to set a standard record/release schedule for episodes (my vote is for Tuesday/Friday) and we’re hopefully going to at least get a dry run (or Episode # 1/2) under our belts next week, so make sure to stay tuned for that.
For now, we have a few things for you:
1) We would like a sponsor. Even for one episode. You’ll get a negotiated number of live reads throughout your sponsored episode(s), or, if you already have a voice for your company, we can work with that too. Obviously, working out of my living room doesn’t cost much to start, so get in now while the gettin’s good.
2) I’m willing to sell naming rights for our studio (aka my living room). As it stands, I am leaning toward The Frank Oz Memorial studio (yes, I know he’s not dead, nor do I wish him ill fate. It’s a catchy sounding inside joke), but I’m up for suggestions/offers of the monetary sort.
3) We are trying to craft an end of show game revolving around Internet media. Something like the Leonard Maltin game, but less of a rip off. We’re going to cycle through a few ideas we’ve had so far, plus the occasional Len Maltin game, but if you have a great idea for a game, and love to hear someone else say your name on a weekly-ish podcast, then I have a deal for you! If you’re interested, or even have a semi-complete idea and are willing to co-author, shoot us a message.
4) We are regularly going to feature guests on the show, but we need guests to feature guests. If you feel you are Internet savvy, conversational, occasionally funny, and have a face for radio, contact us! We will also take pretty people. There is a lot of time on this, since we still need to publish Episode # 1, or, at least, Episode # 1/2, but the opportunity is out there. Grab it … or, instead, clasp it gingerly with a hint of hilarity.
I guess that’s all I have for now, but I’ll update you as stuff changes.
SPREAD THE WORD!
Dan
